NASA Langley Research Center- Electronics, Mechanical, and Composite Hardware Fabrication Support (EMCHFSS)
STC provides NASA LaRC with fabrication support across the Center. This includes advanced, comprehensive space article fabrication, instrumentation, electronics, composites, and metal fabrication. Recent projects include electronics for the SAGE III instrument on the International Space Station and structural fabrication on the Orion Ascent Abort-2 Crew Module. Our team develops and produces
intricate prototypes and scale models such as the SPLASH Test Article, a pressurized Space Exploration Vehicle, the Space Launch System, the Sierra Nevada Dream Chaser, and test panels for the Boeing 787. STC fabrication specialists have been detailed to WSMR, JSC, and Wallops Flight Facility.
U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC)
STC provides advanced fabrication, welding, machining, painting, and shop operations for ATC, supporting military and commercial customers, testing a broad spectrum of equipment from concept through deployment. Our staff supports: Automotive, Command Staff, C4ISR, Firepower, Plans & Operations, Survivability & Lethality, Test Technology, and Warfighter. We modify and repair weapon systems and vehicles, using, for example, water jet, oxy-fuel, plasma and laser cutting techniques. Services cover conventional and CNC machining, boring, drilling, planning milling, and turning.
NOAA Earth Systems Research Labs (ESRL)
STC manages the ESRL Global Monitoring Division’s Instrument Shop, where we fabricate intricate, custom components for precision scientific applications. For example, our staff fabricated trace gas, aerosol, and radiation instrumentation for lab, airborne remote field measurements. We also provide one-of-a-kind components for NIST laboratory spectrometers and other instrumentation.
